Pre-reg an already existing machine on PC

In this guide, you will learn how to pre-register a sample in the Lubewear application. Follow the instructions below to successfully complete the process.

Go to lab.lubewear.com

1. Enter your login details and Click “Sign In”

2. Click “Create New Samples”

Click the “Create New Samples” button to start the process of creating a new sample.

3. Select only option available in customer

Select a customer. You will likely only have one option. This will be who you purchased the sample from e.g. Oil Analysis Laboratories if buying direct from the lab, or it may be the name of your oil company, filter supplier or OEM etc.

4. Select jobsite

Select the job site, this is likely your company name or site. If you have only one option, pick that, but if you have multiple options available you can create additional sites. You only need this option if you have hundreds of sample points. Look at our other tutorials for making a job site if you need to do this.

5. Select sample point

Pick the machine from the existing list, or you can click add new sample point to create one. You can see the other tutorials for how to make a new sample point if needed.

6. Click “Next”

You can ignore the “Fixed plant route” 4th dropdown if present. Instead Click the “Next” button to proceed to the next step.

7. Fill details

Nothing is mandatory on this page. You can populate the meter reading of the machine as a whole number, fill in a job number if you use it and fill in a sampled site if different to the jobsite. You can also change the sample date if not today, but leave all other fields blank.

9. Pick compartments

You will see a list of components on your machine. This may be only one or two for some machines, but can be many on construction machinery. In this case I have only sampled the the engine oil, but you can select multiple compartments.

11. Fill fluid info

Select the brand or grade if known of oil.

12. Fill K number

Type the K number from the bottle carefully into the bottle label box.

13. Tell us if fluid changed or not

Tell us if the fluid or filters have been changed and add any relevant reason for the sample if not routine in the big notes box.

14. Click Add to Queue

15. Repeat and optionally check your work with  “View Queue”

This will bring you back to the beginning, repeat for any other samples. When done, you can double check your work by clicking the “View Queue” button to access the queue.

16. Click “Close”

Click the “Close” button to exit the queue

17. Click “Send to Lab”

When happy everything looks ok, you can Click the “Send to Lab” button to send the sample to the lab.

18. A green message saying “Please ensure that your bottle has a barcode or re-print a label to send with your bottle.” should appear

You should see a green success message and the queue should return to zero. You can now post your samples.
