LubeWear Portal – IT Requirements & Access Specification
Short IT TL;DR
- new usernames required even from old portal users.
- Allow: *.lwportal.com, *.lubewear.com, *.oilanalysislab.com, *.learnoilanalysis.com
- Allow emails from SendGrid (private IP)
- Enable Chrome / Edge / Safari (modern browsers only)
- Allow Google reCAPTCHA
- Require 12+ character passwords
- Enable cookies + JavaScript
- Allow app install (LubeWear Go)
- Ensure outbound HTTPS (443)
- Add +44 7426 798805 as “LW Alerts”
1. Domain & Email Allowlisting
To ensure full functionality, the following domains and email addresses must be allowlisted:
Email Domains
- @oalltd.com
- @lwportal.com
Web Domains (including all subdomains)
- oilanalysislab.com
- learnoilanalysis.com
- lubewear.com
- lwportal.com
⚠️ All subdomains must be permitted (e.g. *.lwportal.com)
2. Email Delivery (SendGrid)
- All system emails are sent via SendGrid (private IP infrastructure)
- IT teams should:
- Allow inbound emails from SendGrid IPs
- Disable aggressive filtering, quarantine, or rewriting for emails originating from the whitelisted domains
3. Browser & Device Compatibility
The portal is fully tested and supported on:
Desktop Browsers
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)
- Safari (Mac)
Mobile Browsers
- Chrome (Android)
- Safari (iOS)
- Other Chromium-based mobile browsers
⚠️ Internet Explorer is not supported for over 10 years.
4. Mobile Application (LubeWear Go)
- Installation of the LubeWear Go app must be permitted on company-managed devices
- Requires:
- Camera access (for scanning / uploads)
- Internet access
- Notifications enabled (recommended but not mandatory)
5. Authentication & Security Requirements
Login Requirements
- Minimum password length: 12 characters
- New usernames required even if you had access to the old portal.
Security Controls
- Google reCAPTCHA is active (bot protection)
- 2-Factor Confirmation required when:
- Changing registered email
- Changing phone number
⚠️ Networks with aggressive filtering, scraping detection, or shared IP abuse may trigger CAPTCHA challenges.
6. Network & Firewall Requirements
Ensure outbound HTTPS (TCP 443) access to:
- *.lwportal.com
- *.lubewear.com
- Google reCAPTCHA endpoints:
- www.google.com
- www.gstatic.com
General Requirements
- Stable internet connection required
- TLS 1.2 or higher must be enabled
- No SSL inspection or packet rewriting that interferes with authentication
7. Notifications & Alerts
The system supports:
- Email alerts
- WhatsApp notifications
- SMS notifications
Requirements
- Valid email address (mandatory)
- Valid mobile number (mandatory for SMS and WhatsApp alerts)

8. Cookies, Storage & JavaScript
The portal requires:
- Cookies enabled
- Local storage enabled
- JavaScript enabled
⚠️ Ad blockers or script blockers may interfere with functionality (especially login and reporting). We do not have any paid advertising on the portal so ad blockers will not be required.
9. Data & Security Compliance
The platform is compliant with:
- ISO 27001 (Information Security)
- ISO 42001 (AI Management / Governance)
Security features include:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Role-based access control
- Audit logging
- Secure architecture and regularly undergo penetration tests with professional hackers
10. Potential IT Restrictions to Avoid
To prevent issues, avoid:
- Blocking Google reCAPTCHA services
- Aggressive bot filtering / web scraping protections
- Email link rewriting or sandboxing that breaks authentication links
- SSL inspection that modifies certificates
- Blocking SendGrid IP ranges
11. Performance Considerations
- Recommended minimum: stable broadband connection
- Low bandwidth or high latency environments may impact:
- File uploads
- Report loading
- Real-time data views
